VIVIENNE DU TOIT

Vivienne du Toit grew up in the Okavango Delta Botswana, where she began drawing from a very early age.

Vivienne studied Textile and Surface Design in Cape Town South Africa. After completing a three year Diploma, she read for an Higher Diploma in Fashion. Vivienne worked in the Rag Trade developing ranges and designing Fashion and Interior Textiles for 12 years.

She headed up one of South Africa's leading textile design studios with designs featured in most leading fashion and interior ranges.

Vivienne has been a board member or the Colour Council of South Africa, a freelance art lecturer and examiner for textile graduates.

Since immigrating to Australia in 1998, Vivienne has been drawing and painting professionally. Her works often reflect her earlier training with emphasis on figurative and textural and vary from realist, semi abstract to abstract.
