VIOLETA DINEVA
Violeta was born and educated in Skopje – Macedonia.
During her university years, she obtained a bachelors degree in architecture. She received tuition in drawing and painting from two renowned Macedonian artists; Petar Mazev and Kosta Abdarmanov, who deeply influenced her artwork. She participated in various group exhibitions in Macedonia and got numerous awards.
Upon moving to Australia in 1988, Violeta took a special interest in Australian Art. In 2002 and 2003 she completed three creative arts courses including “Painting Towards Abstraction” at the National Art School. This enabled Violeta to further explore her particular passion for abstract expressionist art. Since then she has had numerous solo and group exhibitions all around Sydney.
Violeta lives and paints in Queenscliff - Sydney, the location being her most significant inspiration. Her body of work encapsulates the natural environment in an infusion of memories of her former and current homelands, always searching for an expression of that intangible and ever present quality in nature that makes it seem timeless.
