SHOKUFEH KAVANI

Shokufeh Kavani stared painting when she was 19 in her homeland, Iran .

She has come to Sydney , Australia in 1997. For her work on Multicultural Issues that she had expressed through her art, Shokufeh was nominated for the award Australian of the year 2005 and for the Pride of the Australian Medal 2005 by Daily Telegraph Newspaper.

Her work is feminine, abstract, modern and full of energy. She leaves all the judgement to people.

Besides painting, she had also translated a book written by Ira (Shams) Fried Lander by the name of “Whirling Dervishes”, from English to Persian language. The book was sold out in Iran.
