SARAH McCONNELL

Sarah Mc Connell was born in Canterbury UK and now lives and works in Sydney, Australia.
           
She studied painting and print making at the Marsh College in Liverpool UK in the late 1960’s, and she continued her interest in print making while living in Perth Australia in the 1970’s.

In the 1980’s Sarah moved to Canada where she continued painting and studied art. Since returning to Sydney in 1991 she has studied painting and drawing at the Ku-ring-gai Arts Centre at Roseville and the Workshop Arts center at Willoughby. Sarah has been exhibiting in Australia since 2002.

Sarah works as a contemporary expressionist artist, in oil, acrylic and mixed media. Inspiration for her works comes from the organic forms and colours in the natural landscape, and also from the dynamic movement of the human figure. Her love of exploring the Australian bush, outback and coastline, provides a rich source of material for her current work.
